Safety Testing
All substances, whether used in a pharmaceutic, cosmetic or chemical application have to comply with stringent regulations guaranteeing consumer protection and the well-being of industry employees. Globally, with Europe as a trendsetter, alternatives to animal testing are promoted where possible for the safety evaluation.
StratiCELL follows international guidelines (OECD, ECVAM, ICCVAM, ICH,...) for the safety assessment of a substance, as is required on a regulatory basis (the European REACH legislation, the Cosmetic Directive,...). StratiCELL offers validated, valid and scientifically accepted alternative in vitro toxicity tests. StratiCELL's in vitro models, technologies and know-how in in vitro toxicology can also be applied for preliminary toxicity screening in early product development. StratiCELL is accredited GLP-compliant for toxicity testing.
