Re-epithelialization and wound healing properties of actives are addressed using in vitro tests targeting cell proliferation (BrdU incorporation assay), migration ("scratch" assay, Boyden chambers, etc) and invasion (Boyden chambers) and sequential expression of tissue repair markers (cytokine secretion, protease activities, etc).
