The possibility of engineering in vitro skin tissues has raised new opportunities to assess ingredients and products. Prior to in vivo assessment on human volunteers and as an alternative to animals testing, in vitro models and laboratory testing services provide relevant and reliable biological information in order to bring a strong scientific added-value to products such as characterization of activities, safety evaluations or mechanistic data. This added-value to products supports decision making process in the research development and/or marketing phase.
