Genomic studies enable to screen for cosmetic effects of a skin-care substance or plant extract by studying the expression profile of several genes involved in some key skin biology processes. TaqMan array methodology represents an innovative strategy used to identify skin care benefits of actives and mechanism of action of new ingredients or drugs.

As an official Service Provider for Applied Biosystems, StratiCELL offers integrated genomic services based on TaqMan array technology, including:
- cell/tissue culture;
- RNA extraction;
- cDNA synthesis;
- RT-PCR;
- data analysis and interpretation, leading to the design of further functional tests.

Customized gene expression service with TaqMan ARRAYS |
Gene expression profiling of your choice
In our customized gene expression service with the ABI 7900, up to 384 genes can be analyzed and quantified simultaneously by Real-Time PCR. Choice of genes is fully customizable.
This low- to medium- throughput system allows for 1-8 samples to be run in parallel against TaqMan® Gene Expression Assay targets that are pre-loaded into each well of the array, ready for an accurate assessment of a personalized gene signature.
StratiCELL offers an integrated approach, from product application in an in vitro cellular or tissular model, to assessment of the gene expression profiles in comparison to an untreated control. For gene expression profiling of skin biology processes StratiCELL can also offer an accompanying interpretation of the results.
