Partenaire privilégié de l'industrie cosmétique, pharmaceutique et chimique, StratiCELL, société fondée début 2005, caractérise l'inocuité et l'efficacité dermo-cosmétique de différents actifs et produits au moyen de modèles et de tests in vitro et ce, dans un environnement BPL.
L'activité de StratiCELL est axée sur la production et la commercialisation d'épidermes reconstitués, destinés aux tests in vitro. Par ailleurs, StratiCELL preste de nombreux services qui permettent de caractériser les produits à usage cutané.
Customized Epidermis
StratiCELL has developed a method to isolate, amplify and reconstruct epidermis from skin biopsies, or suction blistering (picture 1). This method allows to develop customized epidermis from patients suffering from skin diseases (psoriasis, dermatitis) or to compare epidermis of young donor (neonatal or 18 years - picture 2) to old donor (51 years - picture 3).

Applications of the customized StratiCELL® Reconstituted Epidermis
- Identify molecular pathways involved in skin diseases
- Drug screening for skin pathologies
- Gene expression profiling with proprietary TaqMan® arrays
Cells are seeded on polycarbonate filters (standard size 0.63 cm2) and grown at the air-liquid interface in an appropriate cell culture medium.
After two weeks of differentiation, a full epidermis is reconstituted.
